Taplow House Hotel & Spa is home to 30 cosy bedrooms and five acres of landscaped grounds. The Garden Room restaurant is helmed by acclaimed Head Chef Antonio Costa, where guests can enjoy a selection of delectable dining options. Those looking for something lighter may savour the nourishing dishes of the spa, or those with a sweeter tooth can indulge in a traditional afternoon tea in the Drawing Room. Furthermore, guests can make use of the spa’s facilities, which include a Sauna, Hydrotherapy Pool with stunning views of the gardens, and five single treatment rooms, as well as one grand double treatment room.
Guests are welcome to bring their canine companions into the hotel’s dog friendly rooms, for an additional charge of £20 per night per dog. Dog beds and bowls will be supplied. Dogs may also accompany their owners in the Drawing Room, Bar, and on the Terrace; however, they are not allowed in the Garden Room Restaurant or Spa Lounge.

Taplow House Hotel & Spa welcomes families to come and stay with us. Our reservations team is available to answer any questions about our family-friendly rooms via email at reservations@taplowhouse.com or by phone at +44 (1)628 670056. We must remind our guests that the Spa requires visitors to be 16 years old or over to book treatments or use its facilities.
You can check in any time after 2pm. However, if you are looking to arrive earlier, please don’t worry, you can drop off your luggage and explore the house, grounds, and spa until it’s time for you to check in.
Check out is at 11am. At that time, we kindly ask that you leave your room and return any borrowed items to us. That being said, you are still more than welcome to join us and enjoy the house and grounds for as long as you would like.
Taplow House Hotel & Spa has a tracked wheelchair stair climber to access to the first floor bedrooms of the hotel. Please contact our Reception team before making a booking so we can be sure to find you a room to suit your requirements.
Our restaurants and Terrace are located on the ground floor and have direct access from the main hotel entrance via a ramp. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor in Reception.
Access to our basement level DDA treatment room is via the tracked wheelchair stair climber. The pool is accessed via 3 steps and there is a handrail to assist entry. For more details please contact us by emailing reservations@taplowhouse.com or calling +44 (1)628 670056.
Taplow House Hotel & Spa does not have EV charging points onsite. However, 4 EV charging points are available a short 0.4 miles away at the Shell Little Waitrose Maidenhead (237 Bath Rd, Taplow, Maidenhead SL6 0AR). They have two 70 KW chargers and two 175 KW chargers.

At Taplow House Hotel and Spa, we do not have lifts in the hotel. Our historic property, dating back to the 18th century, retains much of its original charm and character, which includes architectural features that do not accommodate modern elevator installations.
While we don’t have lifts, our team is always ready to assist you with your luggage and any special requests you may have. If you have specific accessibility requirements or concerns about mobility, please don’t hesitate to contact our front desk ahead of your stay, and we will do our best to ensure your comfort and convenience during your visit.
Dining
We do not currently operate a waiting list, but you can see live, up-to-date availability on our website. Our restaurant will do it best to accommodate walk ins but we cannot guarantee availability in busy periods. Any cancelled tables are immediately available online; we recommend that guests periodically check online availability as our online system is live and accurate.
If you or a member of your group has an allergy, intolerance, or any other special dietary requirements, just let us know when you book, and our team will be ready to accommodate on the day. We also have allergen charts available at the restaurant. Our menus can be found on our website, and we can also provide a children’s menu upon request.
Our dress code is smart-casual and quite relaxed. Smart trainers are allowed.
We welcome children & babies of all ages. When you’re booking your table, please make sure all children in your group (even the babies) are included in your total number of guests. And if you need a highchair or extra space for a pushchair. Just let us know when you book and we’ll take care of everything. We offer a children’s menu upon request in the restaurant.
We have a range of gift vouchers available to purchase via our website. If a loved one or colleague is dining with us and you’d like to treat them to a bottle of champagne or some vouchers towards their meal with us then please call us and we will organise this for you.
You can book a table 6 months in advance via our website which shows our live availability. If you need further assistance, our reservation lines are open 9am to 5pm daily. Our bar areas are available for pre or post dining drinks. Space at the bar is subject to availability and may not be possible in busy periods but we will always do our best to accommodate our guests.
If you already have a booking with us, you can amend or cancel your booking via your confirmation email. If you still need assistance, please give us a call and a member of our team will be able to help you.

Spa
We highly recommend you book your treatments in advance to avoid disappointment however, we will always try and accommodate any requests for treatments so would welcome enquiries on the day.
Please book as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. Taplow House Hotel spa days and non-resident treatments require payment in full at the time of booking.
All prices are quoted in GBP, include VAT and are subject to change. Gratuities are not included and are welcomed at your discretion. At least 48 hours notice is required for cancelling treatments. For all spa days, we require at least 72 hours’ notice. Group bookings of 4 or more people require at least 7 days’ notice.
If you wish to amend your booking in any way, please contact us
before you arrive. We will do our best to accommodate any requests but cannot guarantee it.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be presented to the Spa team upon arrival.
Parking is available for all guests. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your treatment or spa day in order to complete your health questionnaire, get changed and relax.
If you are delayed, then, unfortunately, your treatment will be shortened so as not to inconvenience the next booking. The treatment price will remain the same.
The environment at Taplow House Hotel and Spa is one of relaxation and tranquillity. Loungers in the Treatment Lounge or by the pool cannot be reserved, and any discarded towels will be removed. Day guests will be provided with a robe, towel and slippers on arrival. If you are a hotel resident your robe and slippers will be provided in your hotel room. Please bring your own swimwear, gym wear and trainers so that you can make the most of your Taplow House Hotel and Spa experience. During your treatment you may wish to wear your own bikini or briefs, or hygienic disposable briefs can be provided for women. Choose what is most comfortable for you. Our therapists will always use a draping technique to protect your privacy. We respectfully request that robes are not worn in the Main Hotel after 4.00 pm.
As some treatments are not suitable for certain conditions, we will ask you to complete a health questionnaire when you arrive for your treatment or package. It is important to let us know of any medical issues, surgeries or pregnancy.
We have specially designed treatments for expectant women or nursing mothers. Please allow our spa team to guide you in selecting which treatments are most suitable during this special time.
Taplow House Spa is a phone-free environment and we ask our guests to keep their devices on silent or vibrate and not to make or receive calls in the spa. Please be considerate of your fellow guests.
The pool area is open for guests aged over 16 from 9:00am until 7.00pm daily. There is no lifeguard on duty.
It is not advisable to wear jewellery whilst visiting Taplow House Hotel and Spa or during treatments, we recommend that you do not bring valuables with you.
Taplow House Hotel Spa is for adults, 16 and over.
