"Everyone at Taplow House were brilliant, from Melissa, our wedding coordinator to the staff behind the desk. We loved going back each time for meetings or just to look around. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful and the hotel it self is beautiful and kept to a high standard. My wife and I can't recommend Taplow House enough and all our guests loved the reception as well. The costs for the wedding reception is very well thought out and caters for everyone's pocket, with no minimum guests for weekday wedding. This really helped, as alot of venues set minimum numbers which increase the costs to outside our budget. The hotel provided three bridal suits for the night of the wedding at no extra charge which was amazing and also did a discounted rate for any other room for guests. The reception room was beautiful and the staff did a wonderful job of setting things up and nothing was to much trouble to make it the way we wanted it. The food for the wedding breakfast was brilliant and Taplow House catered for those who couldn't eat certain foods with no fuss. The food in the evening was again brilliant. Taplow House made a special menu for us as we had a lot of guest from Jamaica who liked spicy food. This again was done with no fuss and the food tasted fantastic. Guests have been commenting on how good it was and have even asked for some of the recipes. The evening disco was given it's own room and was set up with a proper dance floor and a good DJ. This again was excellent. In all, Taplow House really made our wedding the best day ever. My wife and I wouldn't change anything and would love to have our wedding all over again."

"The beauty of this location strikes you as soon as you turn into the driveway. The stately yet simple decor of the ceremony and reception rooms flooded by natural sunlight created a very unique intimate atmosphere for the formal parts of the day. Every staff member was friendly, courteous and nothing was ever too much trouble throughout the process. The co-ordinators were hugely professional and we felt in very safe hands that everything would be taken care of. The food and service was excellent, well presented generous portions, completely recognizable as the dishes we carefully chose on our taster evening. The bridal suite was gorgeous - four-poster, fresh, roomy, romantic, and our guests that stayed loved their rooms too - reasonably priced. We were able to book the Silver package - the most basic - in Summer time because of our Friday wedding. We found the prices compared very favorably to much less elegant venues - and we wanted for nothing in having the more basic package."

Hello,

Been meaning to email you but have been flat out in work since we got back from honeymoon and then had my Bestman's stag at the weekend so haven't had a chance to do anything!

We both want to say a huge thank you to you personally and everybody at Taplow for helping us have the best day we could ever have wished for. One of the main reasons we chose Taplow initially (aside from the beautiful hotel itself) was the assistance and manner of the staff from the very first day we met you. Everything we asked for was dealt with immediately and without fuss. Your help in the build up was invaluable. It made the whole process so enjoyable and easy.

We honestly couldn't have asked for more. We would also appreciate it if you could pass on our heartfelt thanks to Anna for all her work on the day and into the night. I know a few of the lads made very good friends with some of the staff and even the morning staff...I hope they didnt drive them crazy! All the staff's patience in every regard was outstanding.

I also want to thank you for the assistance you provided throughout the day for Ger Parkinson who was the one disabled guest. She said that of all the places she has stayed over the years she has never received such genuinely attentive help and consideration. She is a very close friend of my family and it meant so much to me and my parents that she felt this way.

So, once again, thank you so so much for everything Aimee. You guys have a wonderful team and everyone should get married at your hotel! I'm sure we'll be back in the not to distant future. We will certainly never forget the place!

We are 100% glad that we chose Taplow House Hotel for our wedding. We had around 60 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and around 90 guests in total at the evening do and Taplow is just the right size to accommodate. We pretty much had the run of the place and most of our guests stayed over.

The standard of the venue is extremely high - fresh and bright decor, beautiful grounds, lots of character. Everything went to plan - thanks to Melissa our Wedding Planner and Anna, who hosted our guests on the day. We had our ceremony in one room, drinks in the sunshine on the terrace enjoying views of the grounds, wedding breakfast in a further room and then evening do in the cellar bar.

The bridal suite (on the top floor with great views of the grounds) is amazing (not that we got to spend much time in it!) - massive bedroom, separate living room and two bathrooms. Believe from our guests that other bedrooms were up to scratch too!

Taplow House Hotel will not disappoint - it's as good as it looks from the photos on the web and in the brochure.

Hi Melissa,

First of all, both myself and Christopher would like to say a huge thank you to you and your team. We had such an amazing day and there was nothing we could fault (you even managed to provide hot weather for us - excellent!). From the moment myself and my bridesmaids arrived on Thursday we were well looked after which continued right up until we left on Saturday after a delicious breakfast. It really was a first-class wedding which our friends and family are still talking about and that we cannot thank you enough for.

Just a couple of mentions, my bridesmaids and I would like to let you know about the fantastic customer service the barman (who we affectionately called Manuel) provided. He not only kept the G&T's coming but he also kept us supplied with olives (yum) and even cookies. We would also like to mention the guy (unfortunately, we cannot remember his name but he was the announcer and all-round chief of the day) he was absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. He really went out of his way with myself and Christopher and with our guests (even when we seemed to mis-lay our guestbook - no surprise, my Aunty had it!). If you could pass on our thanks to them especially and the rest of the hotel team we would really appreciate it!

Once again, we would really like to thank you for making our big day so special and when we are back in the country again we will definately be coming to stay. It is an absolutely beautiful hotel.

Dear Naomi,

On behalf of my Wife and I we would just like to say a massive thank you to you and your team for making our wedding day so special. We were made to feel as though everyone was working very hard to make the day a success. As you know we did have a bit of a disaster with our chosen photographer but I know your team worked hard behind the scenes to try to find a replacement.

The food was absolutely fantastic and most of our guests commented on the quality of their meals. It was a credit to not only the kitchen staff but also the guys serving the meals. The food arrived hot and all together. I have to say the food on the day was by far the best we have had at a wedding and we have been to a lot recently. The staff waiting during the wedding breakfast were very attentive; there was not a dry glass in the room the whole meal.

We would like to say a special thank you to you and Anna for making the day run so smoothly. You were both fantastic and we cannot thank you enough.

Most of the staff serving behind the bars in the evening were brilliant and we would like you to pass on our thanks them.

We had an amazing day and definitely made the right decision choosing to have or special day at Taplow House Hotel. The house looked amazing and was decorated beautifully.

We would be happy for you to use photos taken by Rob Wheal as marketing material but would you be able to send us the photos as well. We have not seen any shots taken by either photographer so it would be great if you could forward them on.

Just to say we had the most fantastic day with you at Taplow. We couldn't of asked for anything more perfect.
The biggest thank you to you and all of the staff that made our day so wonderful. So many people have said how great it all was, from the setting of the venue, to the quality of the food and the service and friendliness of all the staff. We can't rave on about it enough. Even Jays Nan said it was one of the best weddings she's been too.... and nearing the age of 90 she's been to a few!!
So Melissa a huge thank you to you. So helpful from the beginning, always on hand and left us nothing to do!!! Organisation was faultless. We would recommend you and your venue to anyone wishing to hold their wedding.

Words fail us to describe how pleased we were with our Wedding day, held in Taplow House Hotel on Sunday 13th June 2010.

We would both like to take this opportunity to thank you and your wonderful colleagues for making our day so very special and run so beautifully. From you detailed but relaxed nature in the planning and organisation to waving good bye the next morning everything about our wedding was perfect and exactly what we had hoped for.

The whole event was planned and executed perfectly by yourself. Your professional yet calm nature made us feel 100% confident in our special day and everything you said would happen did happen.
The hotel looked amazing, the rooms immaculate, the service by ALL staff impeccable and the grounds stunning.
The ceremony room and wedding breakfast room were beautifully presented and everything we had hoped for. Our guests were made to feel special by your colleagues and the comments about the hotel, service, standards and food gushing. The ceremony was excellent, with your timing of the bridal procession right on cue. Your discreet prompting of our toastmaster and key individuals enabled them to conduct their duties with ease and on time. The professional introduction to all key staff members throughout the day was a real help, enabling us to know who was in charge and when. The Wedding breakfast was second to none. The food and service was exceptional with the most praise we have ever heard. The food & beverage managers, chefs and service staff were first class and I hope are congratulated via this email. The transition of the room from daytime to evening was seamless and proved hugely popular with the layout suiting a wide variety of guests.

I could go on and on with praise as there was nothing at all wrong, at fault or in anyway that spoilt our day.

A big, big thank you to everybody for helping to make Katie and Scott's wedding day so special.

From the minute when we first viewed your facilities to the time when we left the day after the wedding, the atmosphere, service and attention to detail were second to none. Such high standards are so rare in this day and age, and many far more expensive venues could learn a lot from the Taplow House team.

Above all, we wanted to ensure that everything went perfectly on the big day, and it did..... thanks to ALL of you. Everything from arrival to departure was seamless.

You made us all feel very special. The service that you all provided was just right..... smooth and effortless without being obvious or over the top. There was always someone on hand if required, and nothing was ever too much trouble. You all cared about the service that you were providing, and were visibly enjoying the day as much as we were!

Without exception, our guests echoed our feelings. Great venue ( especially the vaulted cellar for the evening disco), fantastic food, brilliant organisation, and above all exceptional staff.

We recently got married at Taplow House (civil ceremony and reception) and concur wholeheartedly with all the other wedding reviews posted here. Right from the start (an open day), the staff (in particular Sam and Aimee) went out of their way to listen to what we wanted and accommodate all of our requests, including making Indian food. The chef had clearly gone to the trouble of practicing until he got it absolutely right (we even had 2 tastings). The day itself was perfect and went without a hitch. Our guests were also hugely impressed by the service, the food and the quality of the rooms. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, within lovely grounds and as such is great for wedding photos. We looked at a number of venues in the vicinity, many of which were far more expensive and much less attractive. We cannot commend it highly enough and cannot wait to go back!

I wanted to email you sooner but time has flown.
I cannot quite put into words how brilliant the day was last Saturday. Thank-you all so much for enabling us to relax and know that everything was being taken care of. There is nothing from my perspective that could of made any part of the day any better, it was perfect.

Apologies for the snail mail!

We just wanted to thank you very much for all your hard work and support that you gave to us that made our wedding day go so smoothly. It went exactly as we had hoped that it would, but so much better! We were so pleased that we decided to hold our wedding at Taplow House Hotel, and were delighted with all our dealings with you and all of your colleagues.

We felt that the team at Taplow House genuinely joined in with the fun of the day, and we never got the impression that they were about to host another wedding the following day! Making us feel that our wedding was special is a unique skill and a testament to the professionalism of everyone at Taplow House. Apart from yourself, we would particularly like to thank the Manager who supported us throughout the day, and although everyone was excellent, also one of the waiting staff, who may have been the restaurant manager*

We would also like to extend our compliments to the chef and his team for providing such excellent food at the wedding breakfast and for the evening buffet. The silver service was of a very high standard. A number of our guests commented on the great food and liked the way that a whole table was served at one time. We have written to David Denman, the Toastmaster, separately to thank him for his help and support. He was exactly what we wanted on the day!

As you can see, we have been delighted that we chose Tallow House as our wedding venue and would be happy to provide recommendations or quotes for the future.
