Receptionist (maternity cover)

Fun, passionate, dedicated and reliable Receptionist required for Taplow House Hotel a prestigious 4 star deluxe country manor house hotel on the outskirts of Maidenhead, which has recently completed a multi million pound refurbishment.

The successful candidate must have a desire for exceeding customer expectations, be computer literate, have great customer skills, be a real team player and be prepared to work under pressure while showing the highest level of customer care.

Duties will include:

To accurately register all guests, ensuring their details are correct at the check in stage.
To check out guests to the company standards.
To develop rapport with hotel guests and thereby create a friendly and welcoming environment.
To process payments according to hotel procedures.
To ensure daily input of individual reservations is entered correctly into Opera.
To receive, process and confirm guest reservations made for/by clients over the telephone, email or by fax.
To sell and up-sell the hotels facilities and services whenever possible.
To be familiar with all rooms and suites, and to ensure that room sales are maximised to the benefit of the hotel.
To have knowledge of functions and meetings taking place in the hotel.
To be aware of competitor selling status and to conduct regular competitor analysis.

Ideally the candidate would have previous experience in the hospitality industry and with using Opera, however full training will be given. Customer services experience is essential.

Candidates will be required to be extremely flexible, as the role will involve working weekends and bank holidays. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week based upon shifts).

Night Supervisor

Fun, Passionate, Dedicated and Reliable Night Supervisor required for Taplow House Hotel a prestigious 4 star deluxe country manor house hotel on the outskirts of Maidenhead, which has recently completed a multi million pound refurbishment.

Duties will include:

Checking guests in and out of the hotel and dealing with any guest queries.
Running of the night audit.
Setting up and clearing up of conferences, weddings and parties etc
Preparing and serving room service
Assisting in the bar.
Ensuring the hotel is presentable, as well as any other front of house duties.

The position is suitable either for an experienced Night Supervisor from a similar background or an existing Night Porter, who wants to further their career, develop and drive a growing business forward. The position is also linked with undertaking the role of Duty Manager during the night shift.
